haiz so tired tt I'm actually using my laptop on the bed now, deciding whether I shld hav an early night and wake up early tmr to settle my hmk crap (including 2 lab reports to b done by next week!!!!) or settle it until late at night and wake up late tmr. I think both ways will only provide me temporary relief coz I just hav 2 many things to do!!! T_T Thinkin of something to do for my phy chem proj still....

At least tmr's microbio lect is changed to e learning and therefore I can sleep in late... And b released at 2.50 tmr =DDDD Then labour day aka thursday so no sch. *happiness~*

Haha ystd went to lib to meet Zhi and Mau!!! ^_^ (It was Starbucks at 1st, but dunno y down there v hot, so aft Zhi went for Maths tuition Mau and I moved 2 the lib's cafe...) And I was v late in meeting them coz the hse was in chaos (refer to previous post to find out y) and I was in charge of washing a toilet (coz every1 was so bz last week and nobody washed the toilets. Having 3 toilets in ur hse is not really much of a gd thing. X_x) Then I met Donghui and Wanting on my way! Lol. So long nvr c them le. T_T Didn't get to talk much to them... but Wanting actually knew I was sick on Mon and asked me how I was.. And told me my frens in IJ were pretty concerned (Wanting, Wanyi and JK were discussing it lol.) Haha really touched tt they r still concerned abt me... Miss all the IJ ppl lots!!! (Even when bus 161 passes by as I walk to sch I'll hope tt JK and Shawn didn't hav 2 rush to catch their bus. Lol.)

Oh yea then Mau and I went to eat the cafe's brownie (my 2nd time eating it) and it rocks!!! T____________T *touched* But Mau ate too much tt day and got a stomachache soon after -.= Poor Mau. X_x

On the other hand, she seems much happier now aft breaking up with Rex and is stead-ing with Zhengjun now... ^_^ Haha and I think it was the 1st time I talked with Mau abt b-g r/s (probs or otherwise). Wow. Coz last time we all didn't really express interest in any1 or what... Hmm suddenly feel like Mau has grown up or something, I dunno how to describe this weird sensation... And feeling the "lonely and incomplete" blues or something coming baq 2 me, something which I managed 2 totally ignore when I was Sec 3 and 4. Haiz -.=

Anyway coz Mau and Zhengjun r stead-ing now, Zhi, Weehow and I got a free Pizza Hut meal!!! (it's a long story. LOl.) But in the end it turned out tt Weehow was the 1 treating coz he owes Mau money!!! LOL. Yea and we ordered the family meal. Ex sia =P

Eating dinner with them really can make me puke the pizza out sia!!! Spastic Weehow was like: "U BLITCH! U GOT 9 AND U WENT NYP????!!!! BLITCH!!!!! (can b replaced with 'BLASTARD!!!')" I find the way he pronounces it super amusing ROFL. What's with the L in front. Oh well. =X And then he was acting gay or what talking abt his 'gay partner' or something. It was so gay I had difficulty eating the rest of my pizza -.= Trust me, it was like listening to a girl rave on abt her bf and much, much worse. ("Mon is dar dar day! Personally I think she didn't lose out on much yet coz all the stuff so far is thought in secondary sch and she shld b able to adapt to our cls pretty fast, coz we've got such great camaraderie =P

Shall just update a bit...

Tired sia. Dunno how I got a high fever ystd in midst of sch. Severly uncomfortable... Couldn't even walk home properly by the end of it. And was shivering in sch (COLD!!!!!!!) But now I'm much better. Got a terrible sore throat though and feeling v weak and sleepy now. Argh!!!!

Dunno y got like a lot of things to do... Esp e-learning... Like hello! Can they use like a small percentage of the $1000+ we giv each semester 2 print more notes! And then we still hav 2 print 1 whole stack ourselves. Leaving us feeling pretty guilty on Earth Day. -.= (not to mention inorganised).

At least the practical report is just data collection report and not the 'proper' 4-5 pg report which we needed 2 rush through all week... zzz.

Haha collected admin card and ez-link card today. Lol, all my poly frens say it doesn't look like me. -.= They thot I was in primary school when I took the picture! LOL! I thot I dun look any diff from Sec 2 to now? Hmm. o.O

Haiz so far all the things learn b4 except for bio... Suddenly feel v confused, disorientated, and totally lethargic... Got a lot of stuff like projects and tutorials... Whomever tt said poly is slack seriously needs some correction. X_x

Haha ystd bought my labcoat and goggles... Look like some awesome lab technician... O.o When I'm just a clumsy noob. -.-

But ystd all we did was to prepare a slide of bacteria to look at through the mircoscope.. I'm sad to announce tt I've simply thrown all my bio knowledge baq to my teachers, cannot rmb much. Feel like a noob. T_T . I'll hav 2 read up A LOT.

Anyways we must do a report for the simple experiment -.- ... and worse, it has to b 4-5 pages long... O.o Like seriously??? T_T

Ok, luckily my CMS (course management system) is working properly, unlike my other frens'... They're fuming over it. X_x Managed to get some stuff done on the CMS, and save up the tutorials, but of course not all of the 17 weeks' worth of stuff they uploaded, or I will faint looking at the workload, so scary..

Haha on the other hand, I'm getting more integrated with my clique (sorta...) in poly.. 9 of us, what a huge clique O.o Hopefully we will enjoy even greater camaraderie. X_x

Today 1st day of poly!!!

Quite slacky today coz all the things we learnt today were actually already learnt in sec sch or mayb even pri sch, coz basically it was a maths(surds and functions.. hmm...) and basic chi (bo po mo fo? Lol.)

IPCT(introduction to pharmacy and clinical track) was boring too and it lasted for 3 hours... the lecturer was talking abt lab safety for 2 hours and we dun even know what equipment he is talking abt bcoz there ain't really pics of equipment on the slides. Then some of us couldn't b bothered to pay much attention anymore, and kept talking and laughing throughout the talk w/o giving the lecturer any face whatsoever as the lecturer continued to talk to himself...

And on the 1st ever lesson of our poly life we kena pang sei by Mr Jay!!! (ok la actually it wasn't. The venue changed and our personal mentor mr michael did not inform us of it whatsoever..?? Left us and another cls waiting in vain.. T.T)

YEA! I GOT MY LAPTOP! WOOTS! This is the 1st entry typed using my laptop.. the keyboard feels v flat, not quite used to it yet. Spent quite some time fiddling with the new functions like the webcam (haven tried it on MSN convos though) and the fingerprint security system.. Nearly drove me nuts. X_x


So what hav I been up to these past few days?

Q1. So, how was the cycling trip?

A: Haiz. T_T In the end I guess I 4got everything tt I learnt during sec 2. I couldn't paddle properly and my bicycle kept drifting left and right although I tried to make it straight. Sadly I hindered the progress of the group by falling quite a few times, in all kinds of pathetic ways. I got cuts and bruises all over as a result, and my hands were sore from gripping the handles too tightly coz I was scared. T_T But occasionally I could ride properly and so I pretty much enjoyed it. Hopefully I can hone my skills further next time if I go cycling again. Haha. In an attempt to watch over me, my friends formed the so-called "President's Formation" whr 2 of them were in front and 2 of them were behind me. So I was the only 1 in the centre and it looked like they were bodyguards or something, hence the name. Lol. -.- Not at all honoured. Haha. And I can't control speed properly either, had to use the brakes slightly so tt I could go slower at certain points so tt I will not swerve out of control (which I did once T_T)... Anyway I would really like to thank them for being patient with me and helping me up whenever I fell... Haha I'm such a clumsy noob T_T.

Q2. So, how was the parent's talk on Friday?

A:Boring. Regurgitate stuff from orientation zzz. But some part r quite informative. Like, our mid semester break frm 9-22 June is just b4 the common test week. OH WOE 2 DE WORLD. HELP.

Q3. Is ur laptop nice?

A:Haha not bad la, not the newest model or what but aft the initial problems it's now good to use ^_^

Q4.How did u choose which model to buy?

A:Coz my dad ask me compare specifications and we found tt Acer offered better stuff than HP and cheaper too. So when my dad accompany me go buy he still look at each specification and asked the salesmen relevant qns 2 almost every specification and the poor salesman still had to run to the counter to ask 1st... Sure kept him bz.. But we kept the ppl behind the counter even bzier. The brochure stated tt there was 160 GB hard disk space, but in the end when we ask them to help us check by turning on the laptop there was only 149+ GB...They kept insisting tt it was a hidden partition, but my dad insisted tt all hidden partitions can b found. "Quarrelled" 4 a bit, b4 they finally managed to contact their engineer and finally it was revealed tt actually the 160 GB stated on their brochure is in binary form... (what can i say? dots.......-.-)

Q5.What do u do on weekends?

A: For past 2 Sats I hav been going to facial -.- my mum couldn't stand how bad my face looked anymore. Lol. Quite ex though =/ V painful T_T the person keep squeezing the pimples... X_x and do other painful treatments... T.T hopefully my face can heal up soon. Or else I will b tortured every week...!!!
For the past 2 Sun... Hav been accompanying Zhi to go temple to pray lol. -.- she was suddenly interested. Lol... Even went to pray for a lot regarding my studies. The lot is moderately good, and tells me to work hard for the upper part of the year so tt the other half of the year will b better.. And tells me not to worry unnecessarily and concentrate on my studies... Yea. Quite true, I keep worrying like whether I chose the wrong route or whether I can handle poly life. Ok, just do it, QNing! =)

Oh man, I haven't updated in ages. Everytime I come online there will b some MSN conversation tt requires my attention.. Mass convos by my poly frens... Mass convos with Zhi, Mau n Weehow... (thr were so many mass convos tt I was almost kinda sickened by it.) I even specially put myself to "appear offline" on MSN so tt I can update this blog in peace 4 a while. Lol.

Got too many things tt I can say..

Tmr going cycling at East Coast Park with Belinda, Karin, Yijun (haha not the 1 from BP or A Maths tuition... Why so many Yi Juns. Lol.) etc. etc... Coz I hav no idea how many ppl exactly r going. I haven't cycled since Sec 2, and I only learnt cycling on tt day.. So I hope tmr I won't lose face by falling all over the place. T____T Help. Haha. And also, I hope to get to know my poly frens better... (refer to wishlist. ^_^)

Anyway, was informed by Belinda (PS0803's female class rep! =D) tt our timetable has been issued.. Then go check online. Man. What can I say. Mondays... 8-6... Only 1 hr break 4 lunch... How the heck am I to survive on tt day.. T_T But luckily, salvation comes in the form of Thursdays whr there r no lessons at all =D Reminds me of the days in Innova PAE, whr Thursdays were my fav days too, coz it was when we were released the earliest at 12.40 or something. *reminiscent~* However there's a catch to everything.. My dad suggested tt I help at his shop during Thursdays as well. Hmm. The shop is going to start out soon, and I guess the 1st few mths will b quite tough.. So must help out wherever possible, so hopefully I dun hav anything else tt requires my attention on a Thursday...

Hopefully, I can handle life in poly well, electives and all. Haha.

And sorta stupidly I volunteered myself to b IT rep (just like in Innova, once again....) But it will b less slack I think. Have to update the SCL's blog. O.o

Talking abt the SCL, the Wikipedia article tt revealed the "gross concotion" secret has been removed by the president of EXCO SCL!!! O.o Not tt I'm proud of it, but I think it's bcoz of me tt this issue has been brought to light!!! Lol... me->belinda->vict and PS0803->another OGL-> EXCO->president of EXCO... A highly possible scenario. O.o So I guess the secret is safe, inside my blog, unless any1 would possibly wanna search blog archives for such things.. =P

Oh yea, ystd, I went to watch Horton with Zhiyu. ^_^ It was better than expected, although the storyline is of coz safely predictable.. Zhi even said tt she felt like crying at the father-son bonding part.. Lol. I guess I found it too predictable, so I didn't feel touched whatsoever. Either tt or Zhi is really an emotional person (which she is)... Haiz the movie experience would have been better if there was crunchier popcorn (coz Sun Plaza's popcorn kinda CMI... although I didn't know tt. Zhi tried to pull me to dhoby but I felt like it was too far and I had, and wanted to meet the time constrains, which is to b baq b4 dinner [this is getting harder and harder to achieve =X]...) and also.. if Zhi hadn't spilled the popcorn all over our seats accidentally, coz she was searching for her phone tt dropped on the floor... (lol...)

Zhi was kinda emo today and so wanted me to accompany her to walk around, so tt she can trash out her grudges and crap... Haiz well unfortunately I can't go out everyday like tt with Zhi coz I've been doing so quite a lot of the time, and sadly and inevitably spending money as a result (I am now slightly richer thanks to a boost in pocket money, but earlier today I was quite penniless, lol).. It's a restriction set by my parents, and seriously I do wish to obey it coz I know I can't go out everyday and rush out whenever I'm needed, although I try to do so... Actually feel kinda bad coz I think Zhi would want me to accompany her even more so than usual today, but I guess I wanted to impose some form of self-discipline in this aspect. I dunno, I think Zhi will b quite pissed reading this. I'm sorry lah T_T Everytime ppl ask me out I'll go most of the time even at times when I dun feel like going, and as a result I seem like I really hav no opinions. Lol. I think I'm quite otaku-ish coz I prefer staying at home even though thr's nothing to do. And I prefer having a healthy mix of frens asking me out(not too often, nor not too long, like mayb once a fortnight or once to twice a week) so tt we won't run dry of stuff to say, or mayb b so used to each other tt u get the feeling tt u're almost sick of it. Haiz am I v bad. These conflicting feelings hav been torturing me for v long actually, highlighted esp by this peak season of free-ness whr ppl would wanna ask me out since I'm free. =/

Ok shall update this another time. Haha these days I'm too lazy to highlight certain points in colour (I find tt more and more troublesome, so I shall just leave this entry all white like the previous 1, and perhaps future 1s too, lol.)

Anyway getting laptop on Fri! Woots! So probably can update this blog even between breaks during poly! (I heard tt the wireless network at NYP banned Youtube, but I dun think they will ban Blogger ba?!)

Right... So 2 days of orientation has just passed... Today's orientation isn't really an orientation.. it's to giv us a tour of the lib (like huh. -.-) and some IT training (like how to use e-learning etc. -_____-").

Yea. So it wasn't as fun as I hoped it would b... But at least the motive of getting us accquainted with our classmates (PS0803) [Do I hav some affinity with the number 3 or what, lol.] was achieved quite easily. I could rmb every1's names just by playing ice-breakers (tt wasn't v fun either, coz all u had to do was to rmb the name of all the ppl who introduced themselves and say hi to all of them, then the next person beside u had to repeat what u said+say hi to u and intro themselves. So yea.)

The games were not v fun either. The mystery-solving game was only for an hour and there were stations over the campus. By the time we finished 2 stations (only...) time was up. And amazingly with the limited clues we had we managed to solve the mystery anyways. Lol.

The 'murder scene' with tomato sauce as blood. Ants crawled all over it. x_X

Well of coz this murder scene didn't provide much clues, it was the autopsy report tt did the trick. Lol.

And the telematch wasn't really fun... Coz by the time the 1st 3 teams complete the segment all will move on to the next game. Therefore I didn't get to try a lot of games. Lol. Coz by the time it's my turn time's up. -.- So anyway, the only few games I managed to play are:

• Dragon Line: 1 person has to put his hand between his legs and grab the other person's hand behind, while his other hand is grabbing the person's hand in front which is also between the person's legs.. Guys kicked up more of a fuss. And of coz the girl who has to hold the guy's hand near tt area. Supposed to run from one end of the indoor sports hall to the other in a line and the fastest team wins. Haha. Broke the line quite a few times along the way coz the guys all in front and they ran real fast... When the chain breaks the class is penalised T_T
• The Longest Line: Form a long line with anything u hav (shoes, socks, lace, watches, specs, ur body etc.) Took a long time for the judge (president of EXCO) to decide and meanwhile we were all lying on the floor facing a certain direction to prevent us from smelling each other's socks (X_x)
• 2.47: Close ur eyes and jog on the spot for 2 min 47 s. Any1 tt opens their eyes b4 time is up loses and the class also has to open their eyes at the same time. In the end we counted together as a class but we counted too fast... In the end when we all opened our eyes it was only 2 min and 10 s. (-.-)

Yea... Tt just abt concludes the 1st day.

Other quick facts 4 tt day:

• PS0803's name is Panadol!
• Made a spastic flag and cheer tt was too tongue tying.
• Did not need to cheer much at all.
• This year's OGLs are called Mustangs! And they 'high' by themselves leaving us freshies cold. Next year I wanna b an OGL. I think it would b more fun. -_-"
• Intoduced to our French personal mentor Mr Michael (not Peacock. Lol.) Heard from our OGLs tt he's a nice teacher. ^_^
• We hav a half-jap guy OGL called Fuji. (When I told JX she went nuts. Lol.)

Well for the 2nd day most of the time was spent planning for our performance (every freshie cls has to perform.) and watching other classes perform. -.-

Well, just some quick facts.

• Spent a lot of time preparing for a surprise cheer at the end of our performance for Victoria and Fuji (our OGLs)... It was a v simple cheer but somehow we spent lots of time discussing and refining it. -.- Like hello, we dun hav much time to practice for the performance, ppl!!
• Our performance was ok la. But most classes also do something like us and even better. Like we hav a family tt is watching TV at the sidelines and then we made an "MV" whr most of us danced to "Irreplacable"... Then me, Yanning's fren Belinda (haha, what a coincidence to b in the same class) and Elaine (Belinda's fren tt looks like some1 frm BP but isn't...) did the MOCCA AD (The 1 looking for a puppy) with a twist... -.- Well, too spastic to mention in detail here. ROFL. Then aft tt the cheers. Leaving OGLs surprised. ^_^ At 1st they were so lost bcoz we didn't allocate anything for them to do on stage.... =P)
• Saw Zhili at the IT fair while we went in for a while. But he's not even from NYP. -.- And I didn't even get to ask whr he went. Oh well.
• T_____________________________T!!! THE THINGY SAID ON WIKIPEDIA IS TRUE!!!! IT WAS SUPER GROSS!!!! (Actually aft the performance when they announced they had a surprise for us, a tradition tt every1 must go through, I was like horrified and told Belinda abt it, which she subsequently spread throughout the class, leaving our OGLs shocked coz they thot we're not supposed to know. Then Victoria even pulled another OGL to confront me O.o and they were lamed out tt I was so free to read Wikipedia, and tt part at that. Then they asked me for the keywords to find tt. I guess they're gonna remove it so as not to spoil the surprise for future freshies... For PS0803 it was spoilt thanks to me, and Belinda. -.-) Anyway. The moment we entered the room whr it was dispensed the horrid smell hit our noses immediately. Yeargh... The gross mixture includes... bittergourd juice, blue colouring from I dunno what, cinnamon powder, pepper, cocoa puffs, medicine (AS EXPECTED FROM THE SCHOOL OF CHEMICAL AND LIFE SCIENCES!!!) designed to cause indisgestion or something in large quantities (they put small quantities of it though.) It was so GROSS. *pukes*
• Ate at Mcdonald's aft tt for dinner. Could still feel the lingering aftertaste of the gross substance. X_x Mcdonald's at NYP is seriously cheap!!! EVM for only $4.40! O.o

Orientation's tmr! ^_^ Finally I will hav something to do..

But quite freaked out by Wikipedia coz it put there "Students from the School of Chemical and Life Sciences(in NYP) will have 2 drink a gross concoction as part of the 'tradition' during orientation"..... Hope tt 4 once, Wikipedia's wrong. =X

Haha I went out with Jia Xuan (JX) on Sunday just to walk around CWP.. Return her library books.. And more importantly, catch up on each other.. Which means talking lots of crap... Lol. The 2 poly ppl slacking outta their wits.. -_-" But at least she worked for a long time b4 taking a break on March and April, so she has some money with her.. While I'm scrimping on anything tt can b scrimped on... Lol. Haha she's been watching lots of Japanese dramas.. As expected of JX... And learning to read Jap and Kanji.. O.o ... Anyway I'll just talk abt a few interesting things..

• I accompanied her to Yoshinoya to eat (i just bought bubble tea only...) and she bought the Sakura bento set.. The udon had weird pink stuff in it called Sakura floss or something... and it tastes like, well, sugar tt's pink. Is it the kind used to make cotton candy or something?! Salty and sweet udon is a weird combi. X_x
• JX and Chelsea didn't go for NP's orientation -________- ... JX doesn't like going to orientations apparently. Just like Cons. zzz....
• Haha as expected of crazy JX, she's totally fanatic over Matsumoto Jun (the guy in Meteor Garden Jap version).. I thought the name sounded familiar... (Haha I dun really catch up with J-dramas... So I didn't know the guy's name from his face) And I realised I found it familiar bcoz of Matsumoto the BLEACH character!!!!! (Both of them r totally different.. 1 is a pretty boy and the other is a big-boobed shinigami.. O.o)
• Found a J-Drama tt JX has not heard b4 tt has Matsumoto Jun in it, called Bambino... (what a weird name.. *image of innocent deer conjured*) Got her all excited as a result. Lol.
• Anyway it's fun to hang out with JX bcoz both of us love hanging out at Comics Connection for a v long time!!! Lol. I'm sure Cons knows what I mean. =P Also found Bambino the anime version.. O.o Man like lots of dramas were adapted from animes!!! I can list quite a few... Hana Kimi, Hana Yori Dango (aka Meteor Garden), Akuma de Sourou ( 恶魔在身边）, 公主小妹.... *list goes on* And JX told me tt Zettai Kareshi(Absolute Boyfriend) was going to b adapted as a drama soon!!! O.O (OMG... -.-)

Haha so this concludes my rather short post today (coz I promised JK to help him think of something for his PI, both he and wanyi kena rejected again T_____________T) ...

Anyway happy April Fool's!!! ^_^(this is the 1st yr I'm not getting tricked. Hoho. =DDD)
