Right... So 2 days of orientation has just passed... Today's orientation isn't really an orientation.. it's to giv us a tour of the lib (like huh. -.-) and some IT training (like how to use e-learning etc. -_____-").Yea. So it wasn't as fun as I hoped it would b... But at least the motive of getting us accquainted with our classmates (PS0803) [Do I hav some affinity with the number 3 or what, lol.] was achieved quite easily. I could rmb every1's names just by playing ice-breakers (tt wasn't v fun either, coz all u had to do was to rmb the name of all the ppl who introduced themselves and say hi to all of them, then the next person beside u had to repeat what u said+say hi to u and intro themselves. So yea.)
The games were not v fun either. The mystery-solving game was only for an hour and there were stations over the campus. By the time we finished 2 stations (only...) time was up. And amazingly with the limited clues we had we managed to solve the mystery anyways. Lol.
The 'murder scene' with tomato sauce as blood. Ants crawled all over it. x_X
Well of coz this murder scene didn't provide much clues, it was the autopsy report tt did the trick. Lol.
And the telematch wasn't really fun... Coz by the time the 1st 3 teams complete the segment all will move on to the next game. Therefore I didn't get to try a lot of games. Lol. Coz by the time it's my turn time's up. -.- So anyway, the only few games I managed to play are:
- Dragon Line: 1 person has to put his hand between his legs and grab the other person's hand behind, while his other hand is grabbing the person's hand in front which is also between the person's legs.. Guys kicked up more of a fuss. And of coz the girl who has to hold the guy's hand near tt area. Supposed to run from one end of the indoor sports hall to the other in a line and the fastest team wins. Haha. Broke the line quite a few times along the way coz the guys all in front and they ran real fast... When the chain breaks the class is penalised T_T
- The Longest Line: Form a long line with anything u hav (shoes, socks, lace, watches, specs, ur body etc.) Took a long time for the judge (president of EXCO) to decide and meanwhile we were all lying on the floor facing a certain direction to prevent us from smelling each other's socks (X_x)
- 2.47: Close ur eyes and jog on the spot for 2 min 47 s. Any1 tt opens their eyes b4 time is up loses and the class also has to open their eyes at the same time. In the end we counted together as a class but we counted too fast... In the end when we all opened our eyes it was only 2 min and 10 s. (-.-)
Yea... Tt just abt concludes the 1st day.
Other quick facts 4 tt day:
- PS0803's name is Panadol!
- Made a spastic flag and cheer tt was too tongue tying.
- Did not need to cheer much at all.
- This year's OGLs are called Mustangs! And they 'high' by themselves leaving us freshies cold. Next year I wanna b an OGL. I think it would b more fun. -_-"
- Intoduced to our French personal mentor Mr Michael (not Peacock. Lol.) Heard from our OGLs tt he's a nice teacher. ^_^
- We hav a half-jap guy OGL called Fuji. (When I told JX she went nuts. Lol.)
Well for the 2nd day most of the time was spent planning for our performance (every freshie cls has to perform.) and watching other classes perform. -.-
Well, just some quick facts.
- Spent a lot of time preparing for a surprise cheer at the end of our performance for Victoria and Fuji (our OGLs)... It was a v simple cheer but somehow we spent lots of time discussing and refining it. -.- Like hello, we dun hav much time to practice for the performance, ppl!!
- Our performance was ok la. But most classes also do something like us and even better. Like we hav a family tt is watching TV at the sidelines and then we made an "MV" whr most of us danced to "Irreplacable"... Then me, Yanning's fren Belinda (haha, what a coincidence to b in the same class) and Elaine (Belinda's fren tt looks like some1 frm BP but isn't...) did the MOCCA AD (The 1 looking for a puppy) with a twist... -.- Well, too spastic to mention in detail here. ROFL. Then aft tt the cheers. Leaving OGLs surprised. ^_^ At 1st they were so lost bcoz we didn't allocate anything for them to do on stage.... =P)
- Saw Zhili at the IT fair while we went in for a while. But he's not even from NYP. -.- And I didn't even get to ask whr he went. Oh well.
- T_____________________________T!!! THE THINGY SAID ON WIKIPEDIA IS TRUE!!!! IT WAS SUPER GROSS!!!! (Actually aft the performance when they announced they had a surprise for us, a tradition tt every1 must go through, I was like horrified and told Belinda abt it, which she subsequently spread throughout the class, leaving our OGLs shocked coz they thot we're not supposed to know. Then Victoria even pulled another OGL to confront me O.o and they were lamed out tt I was so free to read Wikipedia, and tt part at that. Then they asked me for the keywords to find tt. I guess they're gonna remove it so as not to spoil the surprise for future freshies... For PS0803 it was spoilt thanks to me, and Belinda. -.-) Anyway. The moment we entered the room whr it was dispensed the horrid smell hit our noses immediately. Yeargh... The gross mixture includes... bittergourd juice, blue colouring from I dunno what, cinnamon powder, pepper, cocoa puffs, medicine (AS EXPECTED FROM THE SCHOOL OF CHEMICAL AND LIFE SCIENCES!!!) designed to cause indisgestion or something in large quantities (they put small quantities of it though.) It was so GROSS. *pukes*
- Ate at Mcdonald's aft tt for dinner. Could still feel the lingering aftertaste of the gross substance. X_x Mcdonald's at NYP is seriously cheap!!! EVM for only $4.40! O.o
Oh crap, I gotta go soon, meeting PS0803 for lunch. =P
