YEA! I GOT MY LAPTOP! WOOTS! This is the 1st entry typed using my laptop.. the keyboard feels v flat, not quite used to it yet. Spent quite some time fiddling with the new functions like the webcam (haven tried it on MSN convos though) and the fingerprint security system.. Nearly drove me nuts. X_x
So what hav I been up to these past few days?
Q1. So, how was the cycling trip?A: Haiz. T_T In the end I guess I 4got everything tt I learnt during sec 2. I couldn't paddle properly and my bicycle kept drifting left and right although I tried to make it straight. Sadly I hindered the progress of the group by falling quite a few times, in all kinds of pathetic ways. I got cuts and bruises all over as a result, and my hands were sore from gripping the handles too tightly coz I was scared. T_T But occasionally I could ride properly and so I pretty much enjoyed it. Hopefully I can hone my skills further next time if I go cycling again. Haha. In an attempt to watch over me, my friends formed the so-called "President's Formation" whr 2 of them were in front and 2 of them were behind me. So I was the only 1 in the centre and it looked like they were bodyguards or something, hence the name. Lol. -.- Not at all honoured. Haha. And I can't control speed properly either, had to use the brakes slightly so tt I could go slower at certain points so tt I will not swerve out of control (which I did once T_T)... Anyway I would really like to thank them for being patient with me and helping me up whenever I fell... Haha I'm such a clumsy noob T_T.
Q2. So, how was the parent's talk on Friday?A:Boring. Regurgitate stuff from orientation zzz. But some part r quite informative. Like, our mid semester break frm 9-22 June is just b4 the common test week. OH WOE 2 DE WORLD. HELP.
Q3. Is ur laptop nice?A:Haha not bad la, not the newest model or what but aft the initial problems it's now good to use ^_^
Q4.How did u choose which model to buy?A:Coz my dad ask me compare specifications and we found tt Acer offered better stuff than HP and cheaper too. So when my dad accompany me go buy he still look at each specification and asked the salesmen relevant qns 2 almost every specification and the poor salesman still had to run to the counter to ask 1st... Sure kept him bz.. But we kept the ppl behind the counter even bzier. The brochure stated tt there was 160 GB hard disk space, but in the end when we ask them to help us check by turning on the laptop there was only 149+ GB...They kept insisting tt it was a hidden partition, but my dad insisted tt all hidden partitions can b found. "Quarrelled" 4 a bit, b4 they finally managed to contact their engineer and finally it was revealed tt actually the 160 GB stated on their brochure is in binary form... (what can i say? dots.......-.-)
Q5.What do u do on weekends?A: For past 2 Sats I hav been going to facial -.- my mum couldn't stand how bad my face looked anymore. Lol. Quite ex though =/ V painful T_T the person keep squeezing the pimples... X_x and do other painful treatments... T.T hopefully my face can heal up soon. Or else I will b tortured every week...!!!
For the past 2 Sun... Hav been accompanying Zhi to go temple to pray lol. -.- she was suddenly interested. Lol... Even went to pray for a lot regarding my studies. The lot is moderately good, and tells me to work hard for the upper part of the year so tt the other half of the year will b better.. And tells me not to worry unnecessarily and concentrate on my studies... Yea. Quite true, I keep worrying like whether I chose the wrong route or whether I can handle poly life. Ok, just do it, QNing! =)
